Euthanasia is a service available for our patients. This service is performed when the client and DVM determine that a pet’s quality of life cannot be improved or helped; when a pet is suffering from chronic pain or disease. It is not performed as an alternative to reasonable care and treatment. The client is not required to be present when this is performed but they are certainly welcome if they desire. Some owners prefer to stay with their beloved pet.
Several choices available for the final resting place of your pet. If municipal by-laws permit, pets can be taken home and buried. Alternatively, cremation can be arranged. Some owners opt for communal cremation. Private cremations are available allowing owners to receive their pet’s ashes in a special urn.
